About us

SIKORA AG was founded in 1973 and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2013. Today SIKORA is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of measuring and control technology, inspection, analysis and sorting systems for the wire and cable, hose and tube as well as optical fiber and plastics industry. With 200 employees worldwide, 13 international offices and more than 30 regional representatives all over the world, the company provides customers with innovative product solutions and individual service. The systems are exclusively made at the headquarters in Bremen/Germany. Innovation, product quality and customer satisfaction define the daily activities at SIKORA. We optimize your production processes!

Products and services

With SIKORA technology, customers benefit from an increasing product quality, process stability and profitability: modern Laser, X-ray and millimeter wave technologies measure precisely and reliably product parameters such as diameter, ovality, wall thickness and concentricity. In addition, inspection, analyzing and sorting systems for XLPE pellets, as they are used for the insulation of medium, high, and extra-high voltage cables, ensure highly clean material in the extrusion process. In fiber draw towers, SIKORA measuring devices monitor the entire drawing process of optical fibers, which have to meet the highest quality requirements in order to transmit data without loss. With this complete range of innovative technologies manufacturers run their production lines more efficiently and economically, ensuring optimum quality during the entire production process.

X-RAY 6000 PRO

X-RAY 6000 PRO

Non-contact system for diameter, wall thickness, ovality and eccentricity measurement in jacketing and sheathing lines.

FIBER Series 6000

FIBER Series 6000

Precise measurement of diameter, ovality, position, vibration frequency, tension and spinning in the draw tower for optimum quality control at the manufacturing of optical fibers from 50 to 500 μm. Innovative devices add temperature measurement, airline detection, 3- or 6-axis lump detection as well as evaluation of the coating concentricity of the coated fiber.

News & Innovations

SIKORA at Wire Russia 2017 (FO D33-1)

SIKORA continues its claim for Technology To Perfection: At the Wire Russia 2017 SIKORA is presenting a full program of innovative non-contact measuring, control, inspection, analysis and sorting devices for quality assurance and cost reduction in the wire, cable, optical fiber and plastic industries.

The product range includes laser and X-ray devices for the measurement of the diameter, eccentricity, ovality and wall thickness. In addition, lump detectors for the detection of non-conformities on the product surface as well as high-voltage spark-testers, which detect faults within the insulation will be shown.

Moreover, SIKORA will showcase the PREHEATER 6000 TC, a temperature controlled conductor preheating device that assures an optimum adhesion of the insulation material on the conductor. In this context the WIRE-TEMP 6000 will be introduced, a non-contact conductor temperature measurement system that is also available for diameters up to 50 mm and thus suitable for installation in CV-lines.
